The writings include: a holograph inscription in his copy of the works of Pope, attesting that the book was previously owned by Byron; a holograph English translation from the original Greek of Thomas Love Peacock's poem, "A White-Bait Dinner"; and a notebook of holograph notes in Italian and English on Berni, Montaigne, Bayle, Roscoe, and others.
