Isaac Bashevis Singer (1904-1991) was a Polish-born author of Yiddish novels, short stories, children's books, and several volumes of memoirs. Peter M. Sander is a drama instructor and the co-author, with Morris Carnovsky, of THE ACTOR'S EYE (1983). Consists of three letters, one from I. B. Singer to Peter Sander, one from Olivia (Mrs. I. B.) Singer to Peter and Marie Jean Sander, and one from Olivia Singer to Marie Jean Sander, written between July 1971 and March 1972. The letter from I. B. Singer to Peter Sander, dated Oct. 26, 1971, refers to a recently written play, but whether the play is Sander's work, Singer's own, or a collaboration between the two of them, is not clear.
