Scope and arrangement
This is a synthetic collection consisting of correspondence, portraits, six sketchbooks dating from 1900 to 1908, and pictorial works. The correspondence, dating from [1899] to [1955], consists of letters from Yeats to Padraic Colum, Lady Isabella Augusta Persse Gregory, Frederick Robert Higgins, W. T. H. Howe, Ria Mooney, and others, as well as a letter, dated 1930, from his wife Coltie Yeats to Lady Gregory. The portraits include sketches and watercolors of Lady Gregory, John Masefield, George Russell, and a self-portrait.
