Scope and arrangement
This is a synthetic collection consisting of typescripts and manuscripts, correspondence, portraits, and pictorial works. The manuscripts and typescripts include poems, notes for work, and stories. Recipients of the author's correspondence, dating from [1935] to 1952, include John Malcolm Brinnin, Kay Boyle, Sir Edward Howard Marsh, Edith Sitwell, Ruth Witt-Diamant, and others. Also present are letters relating to the author, dating from 1937 to 1965, between various correspondents, including T. S. Eliot, Geoffrey Grigson, Edith Sitwell, and others.
