Since the two accessions overlap in both time period and content, they should be used together.</p> <p>New material of particular note include chronological correspondence files, 1977-1983, containing predominantly outgoing letters of the Solid Waste Management Program Director,1977-1978 and the Executive Director, 1980-1983; additional material on environmental education programs, particularly workshops on urban forestry; one linear foot of files relating to the administration of the National Science Foundation grant for the \"Defusing the Garbage Time Bomb\" conferences, 1977-1978; extensive files on container laws, 1971-1983, most notably the New York State \"Bottle Bill; and a small amount of material on Earth Day, 1970, the EAC's first initiative. Other records include publicity material, some correspondence of the Public Information Officer, publications, clippings, two audio cassettes on resource recovery and waste reduction, and negative copies of films produced by the EAC. Researchers interested in films should also contact EAC directly regarding materials that are not part of this collection.</p>"}
