{"value"=>"<p>This subseries includes Leary's paper and electronic drafts, notes, fragments, and other material related to published and unpublished articles, monographs, software products, screeplays, and websites.</p> <p>Files arranged alphabetically by title make up the bulk of the subseries. Most of these files are drafts of his monographs, particularly <span class=\"title\">Flashbacks</span>, <span class=\"title\">The Game of Life</span>, and <span class=\"title\">What Does Woman Want?</span> Material for particular works often became mixed into files for other works. Titles of works often changed or were reused for subsequent projects. For these reasons, Leary's writings present a particular challenge: anyone wishing to thoroughly investigate a particular work or the development of a particular Learyian motif, will almost certainly need to explore beyond the most obviously titled files.</p> <p>Untitled writings are those filed in folders that lack explicit tiles given to them by Leary, though the work therein can often be associated with related writings.</p> <p>The screenplays were given to or collected by Timothy and Barbara Leary and are arranged alphabetically by author's name. Scripts include a proposed biopic \"Flashbacks,\" written by Bima Stagg, and \"Easy Rider 2\" coauthored by Michael O'Donoghue, Nelson Lyon and Terry Southern.</p> <p>Notes are lists, reminders, names and phone numbers, and ideas. Business and rolodex cards are interspersed throughout the notes. Some notes were later annotated by Leary with additional notes.</p> <p>Works by Others comprise manuscripts, drafts, and pushed versions of articles, essays, poetry, academic papers, newsletters, scripts, and other writings collected by, collaborated on, or sent to Leary for his consideration. The bulk of this material arrived at the Library unsorted. Authors include Zalman Schachter, Paul Williams, John Perry Barlow, James Bauer, Diana Di Prima, Michael Hollingshead, Peter Stafford, Aldous Huxley, Jeffrey S. Young, Brian Barritt, Bruce Ehrlich, Jean Millay, Paul H. Cutting Jr., William Gibson, Bob Guccione, Jr., and Chuck Russell.</p>"}
