Included are files on the abridgement of books to pamphlets, school editions, reference texts, and paperbacks; translations for foreign markets; adaptations for television programs and for educational films in partnership with Encyclopaedia Britannica. Document types include correspondence and memoranda, as well as films and original artwork. The bulk of the files relate to adaptations of prominent fund publications from the 1950s and 1960s, such as <span class=\"title\">America's Needs and Resources</span>, <span class=\"title\">Asian Drama</span>, and <span class=\"title\">Megalopolis</span>. In particular, <span class=\"title\">America's Needs and Resources</span> was used as source material for several Encyclopaedia Britannica educational films, and these films are arranged here, as well as the original artwork for educational filmstrips based on the book.</p> <p>Materials are arranged alphabetically by adaptation type: comics, films, filmstrips, foreign editions, paperbacks, and television.</p>"}
