The fund's first internally supported studies are documented here, including those led by director Evans Clark and economist J. Frederic Dewhurst. These files contain correspondence and memoranda as well as research reports and published studies. Pamphlet series and other short, popular publications resulting from these projects are found in Series V: Publication Files. Documentation of many early projects remains incomplete, the most notable example being the absence of material on Dewhurst's first edition of <span class=\"title\">America's Needs and Resources</span>.</p> <p>Arranged alphabetically by title or subject, with work by Filene and J.
