Much of this material is undated, though virtually all of Day's literary production took place during the years 1910-1935. The wide range of Father material included here provides important insights into the composition of Clarence Day's most popular work, and documents the evolution of his style during the 1920s and 1930s as he struggled to achieve greater clarity and concision.
