{"value"=>"<p>Journal of special relief activities of the lodge, documenting the number of discharged, furloughed, sick, and wounded soldiers assisted, many of whom arrived on steamers from Alexandria and City Point. Lodge Number 6 was located near the 6th Street Wharf. The lodge provided refreshments, food, clothing, and transportation to the Home, Lodge Number 4, and hospitals if needed. Lodge Number 5, opened at this location in January 1863, moved to Maryland Avenue near the railroad station in the fall of 1863.</p>"}
