{"value"=>"<p>Volumes recording the status of soldiers at an unidentified location, each for regiments from a particular state. Entries are arranged by regiment number, and include soldier's name, rank, company and regiment; complaint (disease or wound); dates of admission, transfer, return to duty, death, furlough, desertion, discharge from service; and \"place of transfer and remarks.\" Regiments are not in numerical order. These volumes are distinguished by entries of \"Chattanooga\" or \"Was a Prisoner at Atlanta\" in the \"place of transfer and remarks\" column. Date spans reflect events referred to above, with the exception of Atlanta prisoners. Entries for Atlanta prisoners are death records, most occurring in 1864. However, in many cases the date of death is \"not known\" or \"not given,\" and a few entries note deaths in 1863. Indiana and Ohio volumes contain loose regimental index sheets.</p>"}
