Captain Isaac Brayton was Superintendent for most of the Home's duration. In addition to assisting discharged and furloughed soldiers, the Nashville Home also provided assistance and shelter for soldiers' families and had a separate matron for female guests. Their names occasionally appear in the registers.</p>"}
