{"value"=>"<p>Periodic reports submitted by agents who canvassed various counties throughout California (and in Idaho) to organize aid societies (referred to as “organizing agents” by the Branch). Information includes dates traveled, locations, meetings and attendance, officers elected, and expenses incurred.</p> <p>Most reports were originally housed in two letterbooks, which have been disbound. Reports from the earlier letterbook are numbered and are roughly chronological. Reports in the later letterbook are mostly unnumbered and are roughly chronological. Also present are a small number of loose agent reports that were not originally bound.</p>"}
