{"value"=>"<p>The photographs are arranged by format. The majority of photographs and slides are by Dewey. The prints were unsorted, but the majority of the slides were boxed and numbered by Dewey according to the Dennis Kitsz system, an alphanumeric system. Both the prints and slides contain document rehearsals and productions of Dewey's various projects. Also documented is Allan Kaprow's Happening, <span class=\"title\">Gas</span>, and trips to upstate New York, Martinique, St. Croix, and Africa. Subjects include Ellen Faison, John Hightower, Leil Lowndes, Don McLean, Yvette Nachmias, Clarence Schmidt, Allan Schoener, Enrique Vargas, members of the New York State Council on the Arts, and the Floating Lotus Opera Company. Some slides are composed of paper or transparencies that have been augmented with holes or slashes and appear to have been used in performances as background graphics. The chronology of Dewey's work contains slides that depict both his artistic and his arts administration work in chronological order. Additional photographs can be found in Subseries I. D.
