{"value"=>"<p>The subseries University Publications of America - Black Studies Research Sources, 1982-1998 (1 lin. ft.) deals with the selection of archival collections for inclusion in the micropublication series from archival and manuscript repositories. Meier and Elliott Rudwick served as co-editors - John H. Bracey later replaced Rudwick - and correspondence indicates that the co-editors frequently conferred with UPA president John Moscato. Examples of the microfilmed collections are the records of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Congress of Racial Equality; civil rights files from the Kennedy and Johnson administrations, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. FBI Files. Correspondence discusses negotiations between UPA and the repository, progress made during filming; printed advertising announcements describing the completed work.</p>"}
