The notes indicate the various stages of a case: whether the defendant was sentenced, pled guilty, went to trial, or if jury selection had been initiated. There are two volumes of “Motions & etc.,” from January 1951 to December 1955. These volumes contain typed transcripts with the status of defendants' cases before trial. An alphabetical index by which the contents are arranged can be found throughout the Trial Calendars and Motions volumes. The volumes labeled “Court of General Sessions, Judges Minutes” consists of five volumes, arranged by the defendant's last name, containing information on the charge and the indictment, followed by the verdict and sentence.
