They provide extensive documentation of fiscal-planning, and fund-raising activities, and include considerable material relating to staff salaries, retirement programs, and NYPL staff conferences held at Holiday Hills. The papers also record community reactions to the curtailment of services at NYPL branch libraries, and provide information on lobbying efforts for the Library Services and Construction Act (HR 19363), New York City labor relations, and the development of library automation services.
