{"value"=>"<p>This sub-series contains drafts, notes and some published copies of Kalmanoff’s writings. Kalmanoff wrote several essays and articles about music that were published in music magazines and journals such as <span class=\"title\">Opera News</span>, <span class=\"title\">Music Journal</span>, <span class=\"title\">Music & Artists</span> and <span class=\"title\">Opera Journal</span>. These articles include <span class=\"title\">A Cure For Opera</span>, <span class=\"title\">Genius Of Opera</span>, <span class=\"title\">So You Want To Be An Opera Composer?</span> and <span class=\"title\">You Can’t Eat Glory Sandwiches</span>. He also devoted time in the 1970s to writing novels and screenplays, none of which were published. These include <span class=\"title\">Class Report</span> and <span class=\"title\">Fate Has No Tears</span>. The essays and unpublished novels and screenplays make up the majority of the material. There are also writings by other authors, including <span class=\"title\">The Operas Of Martin Kalmanoff</span>, an overview of Kalmanoff’s work which appeared in <span class=\"title\">Opera Journal</span>.</p>"}
