He taught at Yale University from 1940 until 1976 and was one of the most influential harpsichordists of the 20th century. Like Myra Hess, he lent his name to letters on behalf of The Cantata Singers and was an honorary member for many years. Contained herein are letters he sent in search of financial support as well as his correspondence with The Cantata Singers.</p>"}
