Marks Inc., Wilbur Evans, Erroll Garner, Brooks Kerr, Ernesto Lecuona, Miriam Makeba, Arch Oboler, the Philco Corporation, Jimmy Savo, Hazel Scott, Nina Simone, Thelonious Monk, Zero Mostel, the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee, True magazine, and Josh White. Other clients with significant content include Miles Davis, Dick Gregory, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Ellis Larkins, Hugh Masekela, the New York Jazz Loft Celebration, Willie “The Lion” Smith and the Works Progress Administration Federal Theatre Project, among many others, including files on Ivan Black himself that contain biographical information and datebooks. Almost all the files in this sub-series have corresponding photographs in Series II. A set of general folders at the end of the sub-series contains material not linked to any particular client, or, in the case of press releases, may discuss multiple clients.</p>"}
