More recent files (late 1980s forward) also contain files on Monk’s other activities, such as vocal and dance workshops, composing commissions, recordings, and art installations. Files in this sub-series include contracts, box office receipts and correspondence with presenters, correspondence with performers working with Monk, travel information, concerts in New York not related to tours, and correspondence with publishers, ECM Records, and other commercial entities doing business with Monk and/or The House Foundation.
