Ford (re lands at Sharon, Conn.), Meiss (Millard) Property (Hopewell-Lawrence Audubon Society, N.J.), and Mrs. William Osborn (re proposal to create a wildlife sanctuary in Dutchess Co., N.Y.).</p> <p>There is also correspondence with warden Fred A. Schultz, at Tampa, Florida; and with wildlife photographers Thomas E. Hadley and Bayard Read. Other correspondents include Mrs. J. H. Comby (re Audubon branches in California); Richard H. Cory (re protection of coastal lands and islands in Texas); Eraad Mathiessen (member of the board of directors); the National Audubon Society of Greenwich; Harold S. Peters (re environmental effects of toxic chemicals); the Rainey Wildlife Sanctuary (re oil, gas and mineral leases); and Alexander Sprunt, Jr. There is one letter from the novelist Philip Wylie.
