Hines to William Schuman (dated 1965-1972), chiefly related to Schuman's contribution to <span class=\"title\">The Orchestra Composer's Point of View</span>. Other papers include a questionnaire for the interview, typescripts of the interview withdrawn and the introduction contributed by Schuman, a clipping and statement regarding Schuman's resignation from the presidency of Lincoln Center, and a biographical sketch of Schuman and a list of his works. An exchange of letters in 1968 between Hines and Harold Spivacke of the Library of Congress concerns manuscripts of Schuman's scores. The final 3 letters, dated 1993, are an exchange between Hines and Frances Schuman, and a letter to George Boziwick, curator of the American Music collection at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.</p>"}
