{"value"=>"<p>The wardens' reports (1901-1934), some of which are bound, are arranged chronologically. The reports, which were submitted by NAAS wardens, consist of printed questionnaires containing the name and address of the warden, name of area and species protected, size of old bird population, number of eggs laid, number of young birds, incidence of egging and storm tides, and changes noted in bird population. The reports conclude with a narrative report in letter form. The reports are mainly from wardens along the Atlantic seaboard and the Gulf of Mexico (excepting Texas). There are a few reports from wardens in Michigan, Oregon and Washington. The bound reports are indexed by name of warden and name of bird species protected. Included are a few copies (1906-1907) of contracts made between wardens and NAAS.</p>"}
