{"value"=>"<p>This an extensive collection of Hebrew songs, presented in three separate sections of different topical contents: 1. <span class=\"emph\">Aliyah</span> [Going Up], or Songs of Immigration - <span class=\"emph\">Galut</span> [Exile]; and, <span class=\"emph\">Aliya</span> [sic]. 2. <span class=\"emph\">Haganah</span> [Militia], or Songs of Defense - The Watchman; and, Fighting Songs. 3. <span class=\"emph\">Hithyashvuth</span> [Settlement], or Songs of Colonization - Homeland; Toil; Pastorals; Love; For Little Folk; Sabbath and Festival; Joy; From the Prayerbook; Dances; and, Rounds. The first selection in the book is the “Star Spangled Banner” in a simple piano arrangement. The songs, beginning with the Israel anthem <span class=\"emph\">Hatikvah</span> [The Hope] are given in melody lines, with the poetics/lyrics in transliteration under the music.
