{"value"=>"<p>This series consists of correspondence, programs, brochures, and teaching materials, for Berghof's early days in New York at the Neighborhood Playhouse, the Dramatic Workshop of the New School, and his own evening acting classes. Of particular note are \"To the Actor\" and \"For the Young American Actor\" by Berghof.</p> <p>Production materials are also included for several early student workshops. Maureen Stapleton and Lee Grant were among Berghof's students at that time. There are also materials for Berghof's classes at the American Theatre Wing and Columbia University, with class notes for the latter. Transcripts of Berghof's speeches at the Austrian Academy in 1980 and Berkeley Repertory Theatre in 1983 are also among the papers, as well as a small number of clippings.</p>"}
