{"value"=>"<p>This series consists not only of many scrapbook pages and autographed clippings, but also includes other items, such as calling cards and sketches for performers and other notables. Some of these items were possibly purchased by the Brown brothers, in addition to those they collected themselves. (Some autographs are from the Norris Howes, Jr. “collection,” some of which is also at University of Delaware. The connection to the Brown brothers is unclear.)</p> <p>Many are undated, but feature 19th and early 20th century performers. Additional autographs are contained in the General Correspondence with the individual’s correspondence. Of special note are autographs for Celia Adler, Julia Arthur, Douglas Fairbanks (senior), Sam Jaffe, Marilyn Miller, George Jean Nathan, and Alexander Woollcott.</p>"}
