Greene lately drew to him part of the militia, probably to supply the loss of continentals; on the 6th inst. a man who left New Providence the preceding day saw a fleet of fourteen ships standing towards that island; from Gov. Maxwell's letters he fears it may be a hostile fleet for the reduction of the Bahamas; encloses newspapers containing an account of Rodney's action with De Grasse. Copy. Endorsed."}
