{"value"=>"<p>The Alper files contain materials related to Jonathan Alper's tenure at MTC. A freelance director who directed 1978s <span class=\"title\">Safe House</span>, Alper was hired as Literary Manager in 1980 and was later promoted to Artistic Associate; he is credited as having shaped the artistic focus of the developing agency. Alper attended numerous annual conferences including those of the Humana Festival of New American Plays, the Eugene O'Neil Theater Center's National Playwrights Conference, and the Theatre Communication Group National Conference. He also served as Dramaturg in residence at several of the Sundance Institute's Playwright's Conferences.</p> <p>Files contain correspondence, development files, and conference materials, and Sundance Institute Playwrights Conference materials. In addition, a large portion of the collection contains annotated programs from performances Alper attended.</p>"}
