{"value"=>"<p>This series contains correspondence, scripts, contracts, financial papers, programs, production materials (especially talent related), and clippings documenting Cohen's television productions. The productions for which Cohen and his producing partner and wife, Hildy Parks, are perhaps best known are the <span class=\"title\">Tony Awards</span> telecasts, from 1967 through 1986, and the three <span class=\"title\">Night of 100 Stars</span> specials (1982, 1985, 1990). The <span class=\"title\">Tony Awards</span> and <span class=\"title\">Night of 100 Stars III</span> are particularly well documented. There are a number of scripts for the <span class=\"title\">Tony Awards</span> written by Hildy Parks.</p> <p> Other awards shows produced by Cohen and Parks include three <span class=\"title\">Emmy Awards</span> telecasts (1978, 1985, 1986), and the eighth <span class=\"title\">A.C.E. Awards</span> (1986). The 1985 and 1986 <span class=\"title\">Emmy Awards</span> are especially well documented.</p> <p> In addition to the three <span class=\"title\">Night of 100 Stars</span> specials, which were fundraisers for the Actors' Fund of America, Cohen also produced <span class=\"title\">Parade of Stars</span> in 1983 to raise funds for the organization. Another production for ABC, <span class=\"title\">Happy Birthday Hollywood</span> (1987) also raised money for the Motion Picture and Television Country Home and Hospital.</p> <p> The couple's many television specials included <span class=\"title\"> CBS: On the Air</span> (1978), a weeklong series of programs celebrating the network's fiftieth anniversary. The papers include correspondence from Norman Corwin, Douglas Edwards, Arthur Godfrey, and Eva Gabor. Cohen and Parks also produced the <span class=\"title\">NBC 60th Anniversary Celebration</span> (1986).</p> <p> They also produced television specials for stars such as Placido Domingo ( <span class=\"title\">Steppin' Out with the Ladies</span>, 1985), Marlene Dietrich ( <span class=\"title\">I Wish You Love</span>, 1973), and Liza Minnelli ( <span class=\"title\">Sam Found Out: A Triple Play</span>, 1988) featuring plays by Lanford Wilson, Terrence McNally, Wendy Wasserstein, John Kander and Fred Ebb. The Liza Minnelli production is especially well documented. Of special note is a letter from Marlene Dietrich regarding an addendum to her contract for her 1973 television special.</p>"}
