{"value"=>"<p> <span class=\"title\">Dance Therapy and Children with Autism: A Theoretical Framework</span></p> <p>Children with autism have many unique behaviors and characteristics and thus have certain needs. The purpose of this thesis is to identify and propose the field of dance therapy as a treatment modality for children with autism. This paper reviews a wide body of literature about autism. The literature includes extensive descriptions of behaviors, various discussions of etiological theories, as well as past and current treatment modalities. The literature review includes chapters from various books, entire books, and professional journal articles. As a result of the literature review, this paper presents a theoretical framework that supports dance therapy as a treatment method which meets the special needs of children with autism.</p>"}
