Day-care literature is reviewed and the pros and cons of day-care versus home-reared children in terms of child development are discussed. Erik Erikson's developmental stages provide a foundation on which to build a theoretical program involving dance/movement therapy in day-care. Finally, a plan implementing dance/movement therapy in existing day-care programs is provided along with exercises for each of Erikson's stages from birth to six years of age.</p>"}
