This paper focuses on how to use dance therapy as a hearing therapist working with a deaf adult psychiatric population. The term deaf in this paper refers to individuals who have any impairment in hearing words and sounds. The paper is divided into sections discussing dance therapy, the deaf community, methods of communication, the psychology of deafness, history of deaf mental health services, types of diagnosis, the therapeutic relationship, transference and counter-transference, use of dance with the deaf, use of dance therapy with the deaf, and a final discussion.</p>"}
