The particular requirements of working with the dual diagnosis client are explored, and background information about this population is included. The account draws upon theories of movement therapy and dance, and also utilizes the perspectives of theorists of teaching, social work, psychology and psychiatry. Incorporated is the view that broad knowledge of therapy techniques will prove most effective when used in concert with a firm grasp of the particular therapy goals of the client or of the group.</p>"}
