I have conducted this search with and through the dance itself. Dancing by myself as well as with a partner, reading relevant material and recording the experience over a span of four months, various aspects and values of dance and of therapy gradually emerge. Some of them are more of a subjective nature, others more of an objective nature: dance as a bridge between inner and outer reality, the integrating and connecting nature of dance therapy, the potential of stillness as well as of movement, the value of creativity, the importance of finding a personal truth, the necessity of doing, of committing, and of patience, the process of learning to trust, the belief in allowing a form to emerge rather than imposing a preconceived structure on a dance, a person, or a thesis.</p>"}
