{"value"=>"<p> <span class=\"title\">Dance Therapy: Profession or Semi Profession.</span></p> <p>This paper traces the historical and sociological development of professionalism in this country, using the three “learned professions”, Law, Divinity and Medicine, as prototypes. The discussion covers the attributes of professions: how they have changed over time in relation to social and political force, and the current state of affairs in the search for professional status by the field of Dance Therapy.</p> <p>The attributes of the prototypes were then compared with those occupations categorized as semi-professions, and Dance Therapy was found to be in the latter category. Finally, some issues were raised that should be attended to within those limits.</p>"}
