Correspondence with and between <span class=\"persname\">Sergei Denham</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Leonide Massine</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Rene Blum</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Sol Hurok</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Jacques Rubinstein</span> and others, documents the purchase of <span class=\"persname\">Blum's</span> Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and the formation of the new Ballet Russe in 1938. As all papers are arranged chronologically, an alphabetical list of frequent and/or important correspondents is included in the register. It should be noted that the correspondents frequently use nicknames: “<span class=\"persname\">Libby</span>”, “<span class=\"persname\">Smith</span>” and “<span class=\"persname\">Clifford Smith</span>” for <span class=\"persname\">Libidins</span>; and “<span class=\"persname\">Clyde</span>” for <span class=\"persname\">Sergei Denham</span>.</p>"}
