{"value"=>"
This series contains correspondence, including opening night telegrams, programs, scripts, contracts, production materials, and clippings for Group Theatre productions, mostly for those in which Ms. Barker appeared. These materials are for both New York and out of town productions. Productions represented are The Case of Clyde Griffiths(1936), Gold Eagle Guy(1934), The House of Connelly (1931), Johnny Johnson (1936), Men in White (1933), 1931(1931), Night Over Taos (1932), Paradise Lost (1935), Success Story (1932), Till the Day I Die/Waiting for Lefty(1935), and Weep for the Virgins(1935). Ms. Barker did not appear in Johnny Johnson Waiting for Lefty or, Paradise Lost, so the materials for those productions are mostly scripts or sides. The most thoroughly documented production is The House of Connelly, the Group Theatre’s first production and a success.
"}
