{"value"=>"<p>Datebooks reflect Ms. Barker’s appointments for the years 1952-1958. Her diaries cover the years 1925-1930, 1935, 1936, 1957, and include fragments of a 1940 diary. The diaries are handwritten (sometimes illegibly) and contain Ms. Barker’s personal and professional activities as well as some of her innermost thoughts and feelings. She describes her travels to Cuba and the Yucatan in a 1925-1927 diary. Probably as part of her psychotherapy, Ms. Barker kept dream journals in which she wrote down her dreams and sometimes tried to interpret them. The collection contains dream journals for the years 1959-1965 and 1979-1982. Some dream descriptions are contained in the 1957 diary. Many of the dream journals are typed.</p>"}
