{"value"=>"<p>Included in this series are several versions of the <span class=\"genreform\">script</span> and revisions, <span class=\"genreform\">correspondence</span>, <span class=\"genreform\">opening night telegrams</span>, production notes, <span class=\"genreform\">programs</span>, and <span class=\"genreform\">ephemera</span>, for the original production and for the 1963 and 1979 revivals. There is also an article on André Gide by Ruth and Augustus Goetz. The original production opened at the Royale Theatre, New York City, on February 8, 1954 and starred Louis Jourdan and Geraldine Page. There are few materials relating to the original production. Correspondence includes a letter from Terese Hayden and a card from Louis Jourdan. An Off-Broadway revival was produced at the Bouwerie Lane Theatre in New York City (November 7, 1963), starring Frank Langella, and by the American Ensemble Company January 12, 1979 also in New York City.</p>"}
