{"value"=>"<p>This sub-series consists of scripts from the radio program <span class=\"title\">NBC University of the Air</span>. Sources indicate that this program was required listening for many students and that college credit may have been given to those listeners. Radio versions of literary classics were aired weekly on programs which were normally one hour in length. Though published sources describing this program date it from July 1948, the collection contains scripts printed with the program title and dated from 1944. Included are: <span class=\"title\">Tom Jones</span>, <span class=\"title\">The Pickwick Papers</span>, <span class=\"title\">The Count of Monte Cristo</span>, <span class=\"title\">Jane Eyre</span>, <span class=\"title\">The House of Seven Gables</span>, <span class=\"title\">War and Peace</span>, <span class=\"title\">The Last of the Mohicans</span>, <span class=\"title\">Vanity Fair</span>, <span class=\"title\">The Adventures of Sinbad</span>, <span class=\"title\">Silas Marner</span>, <span class=\"title\">A Tale of Two Cities</span>, <span class=\"title\">The Moonstone</span> and <span class=\"title\">Washington Square</span>.</p>"}
