{"value"=>"<p>One box containing items related to Gypsy Rose Lee's New York home on 63rd Street. Includes correspondence, blueprints, and receipts regarding the remodeling and extensive repair work done on the house. There is correspondence concerning her fight with the City of New York over a street-widening project in 1950. The residents objected to the work because it would have meant destroying trees that lined the street. Eventually with the help of other residents, she was able to stop the plan and received a notice from then Manhattan Borough President, Robert Wagner (later mayor), informing her of the \"change in . . . schedule.\" There are also three folders of correspondence regarding the sale of the house, 1961-1970.</p>"}
