{"value"=>"<p>General correspondence includes incoming and outgoing correspondence with friends, colleagues, insurance agents, decorators and others dealing with personal business and household matters. Files include several folders of Christmas cards. Most letters are predominantly incoming, reflecting the range of Gypsy Rose Lee's contacts and interests. Represented are people from theater and films, authors, artists, and friends. Among the correspondents are Hedda Hopper, Walter Winchell, Jerry Weidman, Abel Green, Burns Mantle, Deems Taylor, Ethel Merman and Rags Ragland. Her attorneys William Fitelson and Floria Lasky are also frequent correspondents, as are her personal friends Erica Dorf (who was her secretary for a time), Elizabeth Wilson, Boyd Bennett, and the decorators Hede Fischer-Platen and Jane Ashley. The Christmas cards, ca. 1964-1969, are mainly from Hollywood neighbors and colleagues, including many well-known personalities.</p>"}
