{"value"=>"The president of Congress acknowledges receipt of his letters of 8th and 17th inst.; he hopes the success of the militia against the Cherokees may be attended with good results; will lay his letter of the 17th inst. before Congress; incloses resolution of the 24th inst., ordering the Convention troops to the northward, and if necessary the prisoners taken at the Cowpens also; they should proceed by the same route inland; the place for their cantonment is not yet fixed, but orders will be sent to the officers in charge; Congress and the Governor of Maryland should be notified of the movement and proposed route."}
