{"value"=>"<p>These files document the legal work undertaken to protect the Fair's copyrights, patents and trademarks, as well as to generate income through licensing Fair-related merchandise. Records here also pertain to the promotional endeavor to lend the Fair's name, themes and insignia to businesses for advertising, contests and other uses. Answers to Plans and Schemes largely comprises correspondence with those introducing ideas for the Fair's consideration, and work done to indemnify the Fair against claims. Materials here include research reports, designs and proposals, such as \"The Land of Utopia,\" an attraction showcasing \"an entirely new and novel social order.\" Examples in Approval of Material include a brochure advertising Royal's \"Typewriter of Tomorrow\" and the Encyclopedia Britannica booklet, \"Fairs of the Past--Fairs of Tomorrow.\" Unauthorized Use of Corporate Name files reflect the emergence of an opportunistic culture seeking to profit from a connection with the Fair. Publications, photographs, transcripts and correspondence evidence the phenomenon. Examples include reports of a man masquerading as a Fair official; photographs of a \"World's Fair Hat Shop\" and other local businesses; and a Young Communist League flyer employing the phrase \"World of Tomorrow\" and the Trylon and Perisphere insignia.</p>"}
