abstract
{"value"=>"His letter from Fort Randolph dated Nov. 19, has been received, and gives great satisfaction to the poor Kentucky people who for twelve months have been confined to three forts, frequently attacked by the Indians, who have carried off most of their horses, and burned the corn which was in cribs at various plantations some distance from the garrison; they have not sufficient bread for two months; have 200 women and children, many of them destitute of proper clothing; many young men have gone to Monongahela to join their regiments and to order corn; they hope to plant crops in the spring; it is hard to provide meat for the garrison and without bread they must suffer."}
