{"value"=>"<p>May Sarton divided her drafts of poems into two series: published (Subseries B) and unpublished.</p> <p>She arranged her unpublished poems chronologically by decade. Within each decade they are arranged alphabetically. Sarton also made a number of homemade \"books\" and often illustrated the covers and/or title pages. These have been placed within the chronological schema. Undated material comes at the end.</p> <p>There are often several drafts of the poems.</p> <p>See also Box 148, Folder 8, Letters from Jean Tatlock. Included with the letters are 39 leaves of poems that appear to be in the hand of May Sarton. They are dated 1927-1931.</p>"}
