Field served as vice-president from 1909-1911, after which the New Theatre Company folded and the three million dollar Carrère and Hastings building was leased by other companies. His papers include correspondence about the establishment and management of the New Theatre, photographs of the building and theatrical productions, architectural plans, playbills, and news sheets.
