{"value"=>"
The Rockefeller Center Club was founded by John D. Rockefeller in 1934 as a private club that would provide \"attractive, quiet and comfortable luncheon quarters\" for Rockefeller Center tenants. It also provided a use for the Rainbow Room during the day.

Special menus and entertainment were some of the attractions available on a regular basis. Special events included pre-dinner theatre dinner in the Rainbow Room and transportation to the musical Guys and Dolls, an evening for members only in Rainbow Stars with Rosemary Clooney, guest speakers from various fields, and complimentary tastings.

One of the innovations Baum brought to the Club was the opening of the Evergreen Room, where a leaner cuisine and lighter fare were offered to address modern concerns about diet and health.

The files include photographs, information on the Club's programs during the 1990s, a training manual for staff, membership information and samples of brochures, by-laws, the Overview newsletter, photographs, and promotional material.
"}
