Seven named writings are highlighted, with an assortment of writings ordered before the chronological listing. There are many drafts of each writing project present, usually with Amacher's annotations.</p> <p>Two essays about John Cage, \"The Future of Music: Credo #2\" and Amacher's chapter included in <span class=\"title\">Writings Through John Cage's Music, Poetry, and Art</span>, are well-represented. There are substantial annotated drafts for each essay alongside Amacher's notes.</p> <p>Also held in this subseries are two related articles originating from the 1970s: \"Composing Perceptual Geographies for New Media: The Emerging 3-D Music-Image Worlds\"; and \"Psychoacoustic Phenomena in Musical Composition: Some Features of a Perceptual Geography,\" an updated version of Amacher's 1977 talk published in John Zorn's 2008 anthology, <span class=\"title\">Arcana III: Musicians on Music</span>. Other drafts of these essays can be found in subseries VI.B. and VI.C., as well as subseries IV.C., which details Amacher's unrealized <span class=\"title\">Rare and Unusual Atmospheres</span> project that grew from the 1977 talk.</p> <p>The other writings in this subseries include Amacher's analysis of Ludwig van Beethoven's Sixth Symphony that she wrote in the 1960s; a 2008 tribute to Karlheinz Stockhausen published in <span class=\"title\">Art Forum</span> as part of the article, \"Music of the Spheres: Reflections on Karlheinz Stockhausen;\" and Amacher's 2008 review of David W. Bernstein's <span class=\"title\">The San Francisco Tape Music Center: 1960s Counterculture and the Avant-Garde</span>.</p>"}
